Mountain running weekend on Pikes Peak: the Ascent climbs from Manitou Springs to the 14,115 ft summit, the Marathon goes up and back down for 26.2 miles. Founded in 1956, the marathon is described by the organisers as the oldest continually held marathon in the United States.
